He has seen how natural resource management has an impact on his family farm and knows those practices will have an impact on agriculture in the future. Budy works on his family farm and helps with all grain and forage crop production to keep his ground conserved for future generations.
“Throughout these experiences, I realize how important the land is to our existence and the necessity for conserving it for future generations,” Budy said.
The environmental science and natural resource management proficiency award is designed to recognize students who are involved in a supervised agricultural experience related to environmental and natural resources using best management practices.
