Cherokee FCCLA has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Williams Companies Fund at Tulsa Community Foundation. The grant is for the Cherokee FCCLA Chief Pantry. Williams is committed to being the leader in providing infrastructure that safely delivers natural gas products to reliably fuel the clean energy economy. Part of this commitment is being responsible stewards in the communities where their employees live and work. The Chief Pantry serves students in grades 6-12 at Cherokee Junior High/High School. Established in 2016, the pantry provides food and hygiene items for any student. Cherokee FCCLA has its own heated and cooled building that houses the pantry for students to shop. Pictured with the grant letter are Cherokee FCCLA Officers Kynli Patterson, Mae Nevels, Abby Guffy, Hope Jordan, Hayley Thresher, and Davin Budy. Carson Schanbacher is not pictured.
